XFTP has been tested using the ACTS system. We then discuss in detail the implementation of a multi-socket FTP, XFTP client and server. In this paper we summarize the experimental and and theoretical analysis of the throughput limit imposed by TCP on the satellite circuit. A detailed analysis of file transfer protocol (FTP) file transfers reveals that both the TCP window size and the TCP 'slow starter' algorithm contribute to the observed limits in throughput. Currently I use a Belkin F5D8223-4v3 with the latest FW version 3.01.29 (upgrading from 3.01.17 didn´t resolve the issue) The QNAP 409 has 3x500MB Western Digital Harddrives installed (WDC WD5000AACS-00ZUB01.0) I tried the firmware v2.1.3 build 1217 (current) and v2.1.2 build 1112 (and the previous version before that as well) I tried to access the QNAP via WAN and LAN.

For secureFX I get the following symptoms: After 2-3min or 200-300MB the upload message stalls and doesn´t show any progress. But the connection somehow gets lost when uploading or downloading files of a size of 800MB. It all works fine for small to midsize files.
I use SecureFX and the QNAP web function. To be honest I very much regret to got this QNAP… Some here and then I try to play around to solve it but now I give up and seek some help from the real pros… I hope that some of you guys might provide some help or suggestions on my issue. ago but never managed to get it up and running properly. I have bought my QNAP 409 approximately 1 yr.
